Necha School Volunteer Program is run in Government Primary Schools in Solukhumbhu. The volunteers will work in the schools and organize various enjoyable and creative activities for the children to sharpen their talents and increase their knowledge. Apart from that, they will coordinate with school head teacher for other physical and infrastructure support.
In two weeks program, volunteers work continuously to explore the hidden talents of the children and to promote them. The volunteers will assist in a wide variety of chosen subjects and activities, including English, Mathematics, Arts, and Sports. Since volunteer activities are organized in Government Schools where an acute shortage of teachers exists, the volunteers are therefore expected to focus mainly on the syllabus being taught in the Schools. Apart from teaching, volunteers can teach them the importance of sports and conduct extra-curricular activities within the school and coordinate with school head teacher for other physical and infrastructure support. Volunteers are also welcome to bring educational material for the kids such as stationery, books etc.
Note: Teaching is not available in mid of June to mid of July due to monsoon vacations in schools.
